I am the Immaculate Conception.

jeudi, 11 février 1858

150 years ago, outside of a small town in southwestern France, the life of a young, simple girl would be changed forever.

150 years later, on campus of a small high school in southwestern USA, her life would be the one to change the lives of others...

Bernadette was a frail, humble, and poor young woman, her only possession a simple, pure, and honest love of God.

For five months, the peasant girl received 18 visions of the Blessed Virgin Mary who identified herself as the Immaculate Conception. Bernadette also received an unfortunate amount of threats, disbelief, and ridicule from family and officials.

And yet, with dignity, grace, and tremendous common sense, this 14-year old girl stands up to it all, faithfully relaying Our Lady's messages.

Welcome to The Lourdes Project! In the remaining weeks of this semester, Ms. Strafaci's French classes will participate in the celebration taking place "across the pond" and encounter Jesus and his Mother through the eyes of Bernadette.
